HHFA SUPPORT, Kyle David Benefit;DE-3

August 13, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Join us as we support the son of a retired K-9 police officer in there greatest need. Kyle was involved in an accident and was left a parapalegic and requires major medical. A fundraiser is being held at the Moose to help in there efforts to pay the medical bills. Check it out at facebook.https://www.facebook.com/events/741807722627437/ .On January 10, 2016, Jeff and Stephanie David were awakened by the phone call all parents wish they’d never receive. Their 20-year-old son, Kyle, was in a very severe car accident at Rt 16 and Rt 133 in Ellendale. He was laying down asleep in the backseat of the car he was riding, when the driver of his vehicle ran the red light at Rt 16 and were struck broadside. He was partially ejected out of the back windshield of the Jeep while the vehicle rolled 5 times. The force of impact broke his neck, crushed his C4/C5, and caused an aneurism in his Aorta. He was flown to Christiana where he underwent emergency heart surgery. He has now undergone numerous other surgeries and is now paralyzed from the neck down.

Stephanie no longer works outside the home and devotes 100% of her time to Kyle’s well being while Jeff, a former Milford K9 Officer, works two jobs trying to make ends meet. Moose Lodge 648 is holding this fundraiser to help defray some of the exorbitant costs associated with the care and rehabilitation of Kyle at home. Please consider donating and/or donating item(s) for the silent auction but in any case, please plan to attend the event August 13 at the Lodge, 28971 Lewes Georgetown Hwy (Rt 9) in Lewes starting at 6:00 pm.
