HNHFA Mission;*** SHORT NOTICE *** Flag Line-Maj. “Les” Moore;MD-8

UPDATE 10/2/15 12:45 PM: The Flag Line is still a “GO”. We will be performing the flag line OUTSIDE along the sidewalk. The forecast is temps in the mid 60’s, rain with 20-25 mph winds. Please dress appropriately for the conditions. Further updates will be provided if the weather conditions change that puts our safety at risk ( lightning, tornadoes warnings, etc ). Please allow yourself extra time to arrive by 11AM, as some of the roads you normally travel may have flood conditions present.
OUR PRESENCE HAS BEEN REQUESTED BY THE FAMILY OF LESLIE MOORE. All Hogs and Heroes are encouraged to help honor and pay respect to a 30-year Corrections Officer veteran at Wicomico County Department of Corrections (WCDC). With the impending storm approaching, please dress appropriately. We will be outside from 11:30AM-2:00PM. This is a rain/shine event UNLESS imminent danger is forecasted. Notification will be sent out by 9AM Saturday morning. Assemble 11AM, Flag line begins 11:30 AM. Bring a 3 x 5 American Flag.
Leslie Haynie Moore, 56, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Reedville, VA, he was the son of the late Thomas Judson Moore and Constance Haynie Moore. “Les” was employed as a Major for the Wicomico County Department of Corrections.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Kay Lofland Moore; a daughter, Jessica Sue Moore; a step-daughter, Ashley Marie Prosper; 2 grandchildren, Albrie and Alana; 3 siblings, Anita, Carl and Tim; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Chaplain Gene Brown officiating. There will be a visitation from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
