NY-3: (Mission Support) 8th Annual Mike Trepaz Run
May 28 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
his is an escorted 91 mile run through some of the most scenic roads in Western New York, stopping at some of Mike’s favorite places. Mike was a member of the Lake View Volunteer Fire Department who passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident 8 years ago. Over the years we have chosen a number of different charities to donate the proceeds to. Last year we decided to make the “Make a Wish” Foundation of W.N.Y. , along with the lake View Volunteer Fire Department as the beneficiaries for all future runs. To date we have raised over $65,000.00 for these causes. There will be multiple stops for food and refreshments along the way, with the last stop at St. Vincent’s Cemetery to introduce Mike to his new friends that have joined us for the ride in his memory. More info at Cyberspokes.com. The run will start at the Lakeshore Volunteer Company at the corner of Lakeshore Rd. and Rogers Rd. in Hamburg. Registration will be from 9:00 – 10:45, with kickstands up and blessing at 11:00. The run ends at the Lake View Volunteer Fire Company grounds on Lake View Rd. in Lake View, where there will be an after run party which is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The after run party starts at 4:00. There will be music, Chinese Auction, 50/50 raffle, vendors, and the very popular live auction. Registration fee is $25.00 for rider and $10.00 for the passenger. The registration fee includes dinner and a commemorative pin. Pre-registration is available at a discounted rate. Raffle tickets are available now. This run has not only been designated as the “safest motorcycle run” in Western New York but, last year had the distinction of being the largest registered run in the area. All experienced and novice riders are welcomed! For questions and ticket information, contact P.J. Farrell 716-870-5356.
